Our Team

Bob Swords is a commercial real estate broker, licensed in the State of Illinois. He is a 40 year resident of the twin cities and an ISU alum with a BS in economics. He has extensive experience in the financial sector, having spent 35 years in consumer and commercial lending, mortgage financing, and management areas, where he won numerous awards including the MSI (Mortgage Services III) President’s Award, the MSI Merited Success Award, and the BoI Inaugural Integrity Award. 

Bob is committed to ensuring that his clients fully understand all of the factors that may have bearing on their real estate decisions including market availability, cash flow and valuation analytics, zoning, code or condition concerns, current economic conditions and any other circumstances that may be unique to their situation or property of interest. He strives to provide his clients with clear, comprehensive, and efficient advice and service, with the goal that at its conclusion they’re looking forward to their next transaction with him. 

Bob has a long history of community involvement including service as Board Chairman, President and Treasurer of the Bloomington-Normal Jaycees, Bank Fundraising Chair and Needs Assessment Committee for the McLean County United Way, as well as volunteer work with the Easter Seals Camp Heffernan and the American Cancer Society. Bob has also been actively involved in the McLean County Chamber of Commerce and numerous professional organizations.
